However, when you book your pet into any of our Premium Accommodations, we will require a deposit equal to that accommodation's rate. In the case where your pet might split their stay between accommodations (which can be common during holiday stays), we will require a deposit equal to the greatest rate for the stay. For example, a stay split between the VIP Room and Garden Room requires a deposit equal to the VIP Room's rate.

Our cancellation policy remains the same: you must cancel by the cancellation date (usually a week before the holiday) to receive a refund of the deposit. Any cancellations afterwards will forfeit the deposit paid.

Since being detected in 2004, canine H3N8 influenza has been identified in dogs in most of the U.S. Canine H3N2 influenza was first identified in the United States in March 2015 following an outbreak of respiratory illness in dogs in the Chicago area.

...Dogs in close contact with infected dogs in places such as kennels, groomers, day care facilities and shelters are at increased risk of infection. The virus can remain viable (alive and able to infect) on surfaces for up to 48 hours, on clothing for 24 hours, and on hands for 12 hours. ... Dogs are most contagious during the incubation period and shed the virus even though they are not showing clinical signs of illness.

...The vaccine is effective for one year after the second injection, at which time your dog will need to be re-vaccinated.

...We highly recommend that you begin the vaccination series early so that your dog is fully vaccinated by our August 1st requirement.

...Ingredients are listed in order by weight *before* processing, so when a whole meat is listed first, it will drop on the list perhaps five-six places.

...A recent trend in pet food, especially dog food, is feeding a diet where the meat source is not cooked or processed much in advanced with the idea being that raw would be closer to eating what wolves eat in the wild.

...We all want to feed our pets the very best and since eating organic seems to be healthier for people, it’s easy to want that for your pet. ... Furthermore, many organic diets use flax seed instead of marine plants and fish as a source of fatty acids. Flax seed has precursors to the EPA and DHA that pets need, and not the full-fledged fatty acids marine plants and fish have.

...Just like human food, pet food manufacturers desperately want you to pick their brand and will use advertising buzzwords to help steer you towards their product.

...When combined with our information here, it will give you a good background at making sense of pet food, helping you to make a well-informed decision.
